These two are such a dream! During their engagement session, they were so much fun to be around and made for such a wonderful time. You know those couples that you don’t really have to put into poses but their Love for each other just takes over? That was Emily + Isaac. They were complete naturals!
I had the lovely pleasure of talking with Emily and Isaac about their story. One of my favorite things about being a wedding photographer is getting to know my clients and their hearts. Let me tell y’all, their heart for each other and the Lord is so big.
I first met Isaac in graduate school a couple years ago. When he asked me to be their wedding photographer I was overjoyed and so excited to meet the lovely Emily I had heard so much about. When I sat down with these two, I asked about their love story. These two met when they were Bro/Sis RA’s during the 2017-2018 year at Liberty University. Isaac was the first one that liked Emily when they first met in 2017. After developing the friendship for the first year of knowing each other, Isaac started pursuing a more romantic relationship in August of 2018 with Emily, once she was no longer in a relationship, and had come back from a summer mission trip to Asia.
When I asked how they proposed, the story was amazing. “Isaac proposed on November 2nd in Hendersonville, NC. The two of us had gone to visit Emily’s mom to celebrate her mom’s birthday the day before. Emily was under the impression we were going to Hendersonville the next day to celebrate Isaac’s older sister’s birthday. What Emily didn’t know was that the birthday party was also an engagement party that her family would be in attendance for. Isaac took Emily down to a small cabin on a creek on the back part of his family property. (Side Note: Emily had just woken up from a nap and was still waking up as Isaac drug her down the mountain to propose). After walking around John Laughter Bottoms (where the cabin was) and soaking in some quality time with the Autumn leaves, we went on the porch of the cabin. Isaac explained that the cabin was the most beautiful place he could think of and Emily was the most beautiful person inside and out that he had ever met. The cabin was and still is the most peaceful place he knows. When it come to their relationship that is exactly what he thinks of, the peace and faithfulness of the Lord. So he couldn’t think of a better place to start a new chapter of their life. He dropped to one knee and asked Emily to marry him, to which she responded yes and then told him that she needed to sit down for a minute to soak it all in. And here we are!”
These two are so amazing. Their relationship is so full of constant laughter, joy, and love for the Lord. They define their relationship as the Lord’s Faithfulness. “Throughout our relationship (even before it began to be romantic in nature) the Lord has grown our faith and knowledge of Him every step of the way. He has constantly brought us both back to Him in every season of our relationship. We are reminded of His faithfulness to us, despite our own unfaithfulness.”
Isaac and Emily, you truly are a beautiful couple and your love radiates when you are together. I am truly honored to be a apart of this special chapter in your life. I can’t wait for your wedding day!
